Service Description

Book a SUP trip with your mates and see Chester from a whole new perspective! For this booking, you need a group booking of between 6 and 10 people. If this will be a teens party (ages 12-18), there will need to be one adult with the group on the water. Each trip comes complete with an experienced river guide able to dish out top tips, arrange games, point out local wildlife or sites of local interest, and just be there to help you love your time on the water. We're dedicated to making sure you make the absolute most of your time with us so you leave buzzing and keen for more river adventures! We'll meet at the public boat launch on Sandy Lane in Chester and take you on a beautiful tour of the River Dee. On the way you'll marvel at the riverside houses, soak in the serenity of the nature around you, and then feel the thrill of the atmosphere as you paddle into the city. Once you're done, this is the perfect chance to go and explore the excellent selection of restaurants and night-life in Chester! You Should Bring... If cool weather is expected, please bring a set of warm clothes suitable for water sports activity (Think winter gym kit: no jeans, no cotton T-Shirts), and waterproofs to go over the top. If very warm weather is expected then swim shorts and a T-shirt is usually fine! Be sure to bring a change of clothes and a towel! Your boat is unlikely to capsize on this trip, but water dripping from your paddle will cause you to have a wet bum and legs at least! All of our activities require participants to wear closed-toe footwear throughout. It is essential that you bring a spare pair of shoes so that you can wear one on the river and the other on the way home. We Will Provide... -Paddleboards. Our Paddleboards are super stable and fun, high performance inflatable boards made from a high grade material. Being inflatable, they give you a great platform to move around a learn whilst providing a soft landing if you have a little wobble. -Paddles -Life Jackets -Highly experienced Instructors to help you out!

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation or Alteration by Dee River Kayaking: In the business of outdoor activity provision instructors make continuous risk assessments to maintain the quality and safety of sessions. Because of the changeable nature of the outdoor environment, bookings can be subject to cancellation or alteration if the conditions on the day dictate. The outdoor activity venue and plan for your river trip is chosen and advertised as an ideal. If however, weather or water conditions at this venue are deemed unsafe or inappropriate on the day by the instructor, an alternative venue that fits with the spirit of the booking may be chosen on the day of the activity, or if one cannot be found the trip may be cancelled. Your Dee River Kayaking Instructor is the only one who can decide this for your trip. If a trip is cancelled by us due to unsuitable conditions on the day, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will discuss potential options as to how we can fulfil our commitment to you, either by rescheduling your trip or offering a refund if an alternative arrangement cannot be found. Cancellation by the Customer: It may be that a client needs to cancel their booking. They must make Dee River Kayaking aware of this as soon as possible so that alternative arrangement can be made. When a client cancels a booking the following timescale regarding payment for the booking will be used. 4+ weeks before the activity: No fee will be charged for cancellation or rescheduling. 10 days - 4 weeks before the activity: A fee of 30% of the activity cost will be charged for cancellation. No fee will be charged for rescheduling. Less than 10 days before the activity: The whole cost for the activity will be charged for cancellation. A 30% fee will be charged for rescheduling. Less than 48 hours before activity. A 75% fee will be charged for rescheduling. If you wish to discuss these cancellation terms, please do so ahead of booking.
