Service Description

Join us for a beautiful paddling journey on the River Dee. Get your balance, get your paddle in the water, and be on the look out for kingfishers! You'll be with an instructor from Dee River Kayaking so its not a problem if you've never done this before, they'll be on hand to provide tips, tricks and coaching so that at the end of your journey you will have actually developed a few new Stand Up Paddle boarding skills too! Bookings of this trip must be approved manually as we need to make sure we have all the equipment and staff in place to make this tour possible. This trip booking is inclusive of all necessary equipment including Buoyancy Aid, SUP, Paddle, Leash + instruction. Participants need to bring comfortable clothing to wear on their journey such as gymwear or light hiking clothes; a windproof jacket if it is expected to be chilly, footwear to wear on the board, and a towel or changing robe for changing. Water immersion clothes such as wetsuits and rash tops are a 'nice-to-have' if you know you'll be falling in a lot, but are by no means essential kit for Summer SUPing. Hire wetsuits are available at an additional cost of £5 per person. Please contact us if you would like to reserve these for your trip. Participants should be at least 8 years old.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation or Alteration by Dee River Kayaking: In the business of outdoor activity provision instructors make continuous risk assessments to maintain the quality and safety of sessions. Because of the changeable nature of the outdoor environment, bookings can be subject to cancellation or alteration if the conditions on the day dictate. The outdoor activity venue and plan for your river trip is chosen and advertised as an ideal. If however, weather or water conditions at this venue are deemed unsafe or inappropriate on the day by the instructor, an alternative venue that fits with the spirit of the booking may be chosen on the day of the activity, or if one cannot be found the trip may be cancelled. Your Dee River Kayaking Instructor is the only one who can decide this for your trip. If a trip is cancelled by us due to unsuitable conditions on the day, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will discuss potential options as to how we can fulfil our commitment to you, either by rescheduling your trip or offering a refund if an alternative arrangement cannot be found. Cancellation by the Customer: It may be that a client needs to cancel their booking. They must make Dee River Kayaking aware of this as soon as possible so that alternative arrangement can be made. When a client cancels a booking the following timescale regarding payment for the booking will be used. 4+ weeks before the activity: No fee will be charged for cancellation or rescheduling. 10 days - 4 weeks before the activity: A fee of 30% of the activity cost will be charged for cancellation. No fee will be charged for rescheduling. Less than 10 days before the activity: The whole cost for the activity will be charged for cancellation. A 30% fee will be charged for rescheduling.
