Join us to experience this beautiful stretch of the River Dee from Sandy Lane in Chester. Experience the serene quiet and beauty of the river around Chester Meadows, take in the atmosphere of the river-front promenade, and soak in the history of sites such as the Roman city walls, the Old Dee Bridge, and the Chester Weir. For this booking, you need a group booking of between 8 and 20 people. The party can be made up of both Single seat and Tandem boats to ensure maximum fun and comfort. Each trip comes complete with an experienced river guide able to dish out top kayaking tips, arrange games, point out local wildlife or sites of local interest, and just be there to help you love your time on the water. We're dedicated to making sure you make the absolute most of your time with us so you leave buzzing and keen for more river adventures! This trip is accessible to groups that include children as young as 4, provided they share a tandem kayak with an adult. If this will be a teens party (ages 12-18), one adult must join the group for every 5 U18's. What to bring: If cool weather is expected, please bring a set of warm clothes suitable for watersports activity (Think winter gym kit: no jeans, no cotton T-Shirts), and waterproofs to go over the top. If very warm weather is expected then swim shorts and a T-shirt is usually fine! Your boat is unlikely to capsize on this trip, but water dripping from your paddle will cause you to have a wet bum at least! Be sure to bring a change of clothes and a towel! All of our activities require participants to wear closed-toe footwear throughout. It is essential that you bring a spare pair of shoes so that you can wear one on the river and the other on the way home. All Chester based trips depart from Sandy Lane Park. Park at the riverside car park on sandy lane and then walk across the grass of the park to meet your guide. Look for the bright blue boats! Sandy Ln, Chester CH3 5UL Bookers should note that this operation is a mobile kayak tour agency and does not have a private building or changing facility, so before booking you should be happy to simply show up - meet your guide, get your gear and get out there.  It is essential to bring with you an XL towel or changing robe for modesty while changing. 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation or Alteration by Dee River Kayaking: In the business of outdoor activity provision instructors make continuous risk assessments to maintain the quality and safety of sessions. Because of the changeable nature of the outdoor environment, bookings can be subject to cancellation or alteration if the conditions on the day dictate. The outdoor activity venue and plan for your river trip is chosen and advertised as an ideal. If however, weather or water conditions at this venue are deemed unsafe or inappropriate on the day by the instructor, an alternative venue that fits with the spirit of the booking may be chosen on the day of the activity, or if one cannot be found the trip may be cancelled. Your Dee River Kayaking Instructor is the only one who can decide this for your trip. If a trip is cancelled by us due to unsuitable conditions on the day, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will discuss potential options as to how we can fulfil our commitment to you, either by rescheduling your trip or offering a refund if an alternative arrangement cannot be found. Cancellation by the Customer: It may be that a client needs to cancel their booking. They must make Dee River Kayaking aware of this as soon as possible so that alternative arrangement can be made. When a client cancels a booking the following timescale regarding payment for the booking will be used. 4+ weeks before the activity: No fee will be charged for cancellation or rescheduling. 10 days - 4 weeks before the activity: A fee of 30% of the activity cost will be charged for cancellation. No fee will be charged for rescheduling. Less than 10 days before the activity: The whole cost for the activity will be charged for cancellation. A 30% fee will be charged for rescheduling. Less than 48 hours before activity. A 75% fee will be charged for rescheduling. If you wish to discuss these cancellation terms, please do so ahead of booking.
